Care is generally split into 3 categories being

Memory Care. Some facilities cater for all three categories while others focus on one or two of the three.
Care facilities also differ substantially in terms of pricing, facilities, service offerings and standard of care. While there is no formal rating platform, reputable care facilities are compliant at a regulatory level and are regularly audited to ensure they are properly run and compliant.
While you may have an idea as to what care facility you need, it is the ultimate decision of the facility to accept you based on their assessment. Their assessment is based on information they request from you to evaluate your needs and relevant category.

Frail Care
A person requiring Frail Care would require substantial assistance including 24 hour nursing attendance. One may require help with dressing and washing and toileting and may or may not be bedridden. A frail person may also be physically healthy but mentally frail, requiring constant supervision. A mentally frail person could be exhibiting signs of senile dementia (Alzheimer’s, vascular dementia or other forms of dementia) and, as such, may be confused, disoriented, agitated, restless, anxious and in this case would generally require Frail Care.
It is important to point out that each care facility has their own definition and classification for what they call frail care, so it is important to discuss the nursing requirements of a family member with the care facility before admitting them. Most care facilities, in any event, will want to assess the patient before admission in order to determine whether they are able to provide the necessary care. They may also require a Doctor’s report on the patient.

Frail Care Accommodation
Homes Haven Krugersdorp
Retirement Village and frail care centre in Krugersdorp, just behind Silverstar Casino, offers 40 Frail Care Beds with 24-hour care, as well as 72 en-suite assisted living rooms. This village also boasts a Lifestyle Living facility.
Broadacres
Within the facility is a separate node within the Retirement Village in Broadacres. The highly rated facility is run by a licensed operator with extensive experience in the industry catering to a wide range of medical needs.
Krugersdorp
Nested in a separate area located within the Retirement Village. This division has 20 beds available placed in double rooms, with amenities such as en-suite bathroom, small kitchenette, access to nursing care and overall assistance and comfort.
Pretoria
Available for senior people above the age of 50 who no longer have the ability to care for themselves on a daily basis.
Witpoortjie
Located in a well-known retirement village in the heart of Witpoortjie. This Frail care facility caters for senior residents over the age of 50, who need 24-hour nursing care.
